✍️ Markdown & Editor Experience

FlashNote’s editor blends the fluidity of WYSIWYG rich text with the efficiency and precision of Markdown plain text.

1. 4 View Modes

Switch dynamically between 4 tailored perspectives via the top toolbar or shortcuts:

  1. Visual Mode: Direct WYSIWYG formatting as you type. Ideal for rapid composition;
  2. Split Mode: Side-by-side view with rich text on the left and live Markdown source on the right;
  3. Source Mode: Clean plain-text Markdown with bracket and delimiter auto-pairing;
  4. Preview Mode: Clean read-only rendering with clickable hyperlinks for safe review.

2. Smart Code Blocks

FlashNote elevates code block interaction for developers:

  • Creation: Type triple backticks ``` and hit Enter;
  • Language Picker: Select from popular languages (TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, SQL, Shell, etc.);
  • One-Click Copy: Click the clipboard icon in the top right for instant, clean code copy;
  • Unselectable Line Numbers: Line numbers are styled with user-select: none, ensuring that copying text never grabs unintended line numbers.

  • LaTeX to Unicode Plaintext Conversion:
    • Exporting or copying table content automatically converts standard LaTeX macros into high-fidelity Unicode symbols:
      • Propositional logic: \neg →\rightarrow ¬\neg, \land →\rightarrow ∧\land, \lor →\rightarrow ∨\lor, \rightarrow →\rightarrow →\rightarrow, \leftrightarrow →\rightarrow ↔\leftrightarrow
      • Set operations: \in →\rightarrow ∈\in, \subset →\rightarrow ⊂\subset, \cup →\rightarrow ∪\cup, \cap →\rightarrow ∩\cap
      • Greek letters: \alpha →\rightarrow α\alpha, \beta →\rightarrow β\beta, \gamma →\rightarrow γ\gamma
